Conference Couture

In only two weeks I will be flying to Singapore (once again) for a Model united Nations conference! However, this one is very much a different scenario to the others as this one is The Hague International Model United Nations, which is probably one of the biggest in South East Asia!
I honestly don't think I have ever been this excited! One of my favourite things about these conferences, besides being able to argue and debate, but dressing up in a professional manner.
Many of us are rarely able to dress up formally, so I am definitely excited about being able to wear some of my new purchases!
Here are some of my new dresses for the conference:

Both dresses are from Dorothy Perkins, I'm not sure why but the cut of the dresses in there seem to suit me well! The shoes are from New Look and the only accessory is my Tiffany open heart necklace, simple and classic.
I'm so excited! Have you guys got any exciting events coming up soon?

'A Real Beauty': Miranda Kerr by Tom Munro

Miranda Kerr features in the latest Vogue Italia editorial shoot for the October 2012 issue.

In the 6- page spread, the Victoria's Secret model trades in her usual luscious brown tresses to a more edgy platinum blonde coiffure.

 The semi nude shoot is completely gorgeous and really adds a touch of class to what would typically be considered 'trashy'.
In front of Tom Munro's lens, Miranda wows in denim and metallic looks selected by fashion editor Ludivine Poiblanc. Captured in black and white, the gorgeous Australian model is a far cry from her usual Victorias Secret shots.
There is no denying that Miranda Kerr is simply stunning, but although the blonde hair suits her in black and white, I'm not too sure how she would pull it off in full colour.

So, do blondes really have more fun, Miranda?

Kendall Jenner for Genlux Magazine

I am completely in love with Kendall Jenner's photoshoot for Genlux magazine. I love how she has completely broken away from the current Kardashian sex-bomb image and has entered the world of high fashion.
I simply adore the cover of the magazine, her eyes seem to just stare into my soul!

UK September Issue Round up

The time has arrived, the September issues have been released. Are you ready?
I tell you what, I was so excited to see what stops VOGUE and ELLE pulled out but I was bitterly disappointed.
The covers were bland and the content wasn't fascinating and didn't tell me anything I didn't know. I was looking forward to revolutionary new content and experienced writers yet the writing came across as informal and basic.
However, I did prefer the ELLE UK September issue over the VOGUE UK issue although that may be because I prefer Rosie Huntington-Whitely to Karlie Kloss.

Androgynous chic is very much in this season but the extent in which you choose to take the trend is dependent on the individual. For instance, some may be able to pull off the whole look including oxfords, button down shirts and bow ties where as others may only be able to wear a simple blazer with jeans. I know for sure that I will definitely be investing in a simple boy blazer sometime soon.

Lace Lullabies

{I really adore this lace jumper I bought in Indigo recently. It is so comfy and really makes my look more carefree}

I absolutely adore lace at the moment and it definitely dresses up the simple denim skirt that I paired it with.

Sorry for the short post but let me know your thoughts on the ensemble and please do leave your suggestions on other ways that I can wear the lace jumper!

Mocktail Madness

Today I attended a cooking class specialising in mocktails! I had a fabulous time and really enjoyed the opportunity to make some yummy and healthy drinks! I'm not entirely sure how they are mocktails as none of them are the classics; most of them are more like smoothies.
The class was taught by a lovely bartender who even gave us tips on making them cocktails!  Needless to say that all of these mocktails are delicious yet so simple.

{A blended combination of Apple Juice, Honeydew juice, Orange juice and 7-Up creates a Rainforest Magic}

{Watermelon juice, Pineapple juice, Lemon juice and a touch of sugar syrup makes up an Empire Delight}

{Now this drink is my favourite; a Coconut Mango Bomb. Made from Coconut cream, vanilla ice-cream, milk, mango juice and ice, all blended together}

{This Carrot, Orange and Coriander concoction is made from simply carrot, orange and coriander!}

{Apple, Celery and carrot}

{Blend cranberry juice, pineapple juice, Soda water and vanilla ice cream to create Holiday Punch}

{Summer Memories is definitely a smoothie fit for summer with a simple blend of peaches, vanilla ice cream, rasberries and fresh milk}

Five Things

So although this is a five things post, I added an extra which I couldn't resist including!
These are all recent to me and I hope you enjoy!

{I bought these little dark wood elephants at a market in Thailand. Aren't they just adorable?}

{I finally finished making my business cards! How amazing are they?}

 {Daisy by Marc Jacobs is my new favourite perfume. I spent over an hour trying to decide whether to buy it or not because it is alot of money. It was worth it! There are hints of jasmine and after letting the scent sit for a while it ends up smelling like freshly cut flowers! Yum!}
 {I luckily managed to snag this gorgeous pair of sunnies during a sale in Topshop. They are such a change from my normal style but these have a more chic element to them.}
{I decided to replace my old plastic containers that I had on my dressing table that held my various cotton products with these old jam jars. It looks so cute!}

Flirty Summer Dresses

 During my recent trip to Singapore I was fortunate to stumble across these great dresses in Dorothy Perkins.

 {I know the blue dress is quite formal but it would be perfect for any school Conferences that I attend. I was inspired by Kim Kardashian to try a dress with a flare which she often wears, simply because I have a curvaceous figure similar to hers!}
 {The shoes are from New Look}
{This dress is so flirty and fun; perfect for summer especially as it is cool to wear}

Do you have any thoughts on styling these dresses?

Floral Freedom

Unfortunately this is my last day in Singapore meaning that I spent the day frantically running in and out of malls buying clothes and birthday presents! Needless to say, my feet are covered in blisters and I am ready for my own bed.
However, early this morning I took a walk in the beautiful botanical gardens which sport the most amazing flora and really provide an unique insight the natural beauty that we are spoilt with in the tropics; you almost forget that you are in the centre of a busy city!
